Konzert "Voci Grandiose" in der Assembly Hall, Beirut

Am 26. April 2018 veranstaltete die libanesische Künstlerin Dédé Hourani das Konzert „Voci Grandiose“, in welchem ein großer musikalischer Bogen gespannt wurde von Gesangswerken von Johann Sebastian Bach über Giacomo Puccini bis hin zu Ernesto de Curtis. Neben bekannten Sängerinnen und Sängern aus Beirut wurde ich als Gast eingeladen, um Lieder von Franz Schubert zu singen und die Zuhörer in eine für sie unbekannte musikalische Welt zu entführen:

„… And in this spirit as a bouquet of Belcanto and Lieder, of Cantatas, and especially a voice from elsewhere which is none other than that of a great German singer who relentlessly dazzles a demanding German audience in her country, the mezzo-soprano Angelika Wied is Selecteum’s habitual guest who at the dawn of her brilliant European career was the grand priestess of musical exactitude and vocal technicity as well as having an exquisite voice coming from the other shores of Lebanon to charm us with Schubert’s Lieder and the superb „Du bist die Ruh’“ and „Gretchen am Spinnrade“, as well as Bach’s sublime Aria „Erbarme Dich“.“
